Members of private company leadership to discuss AI workforce issues
Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo recently announced the appointment of new members to the National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee (NAIAC), a group of industry experts that advise the White House on artificial intelligence (AI) issues.
All appointees to this committee are nominated through public vote and serve three-year terms on the committee. These new members all serve as senior leaders within prominent organizations, such as the Markle Foundation, Arizona State University, and Walmart.
“Empowering our nation’s top talent in AI across academia, industry, non-profits and civil society is fundamental to the responsible development and deployment of this generation-defining technology,” said Secretary Raimondo. “These new committee members represent some of the best in their field, and I am confident will play an important part in helping NAIAC to meet its mission to provide the expertise and guidance necessary to maintain U.S. global leadership on AI.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for all members of the NAIAC as they discuss technology and provide recommendations to the president and his administration.
- For Secretary Raimondo and Commerce Department officials to be prudent in their approach to AI and technological advances.
